I had Midjourney create an avatar for this blog. I call him "Chef Ennui".
It's not that he's sad, per se. He's just got a lot to think about and some of it is heavy stuff. He was working on his blog, but intrusive thoughts got in the way. I'm sure you can relate. Maybe making a delicious veggie pizza will help, but no. Even that’s just a momentary diversion from the endless parade of obligation he must fulfill as he marches inexorably towards his fate. It’s not a special fate.
To be clear, Ennui is not his given name. He’s not even French. His name is Rick. According to Google Rick is a shortened version of Richard or Fredrick, but neither of those sound right. Rick means “brave ruler”, but that doesn’t feel right, he doesn’t feel brave or particularly in charge of anything.
Take your time Rick. When you’re ready, we’ll be ready too.
